EVERY CHILD DESERVES THE CHANCE TO

REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL

Hi, I'm Jo....

I am Jo Judge, a Specialist Children’s Occupational Therapist. I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2009 from the University of Derby. During my Occupational Therapy training I was lucky to have a paediatric practice placement. This confirmed my aspirations of wanting to work with children in my future career.

Jo Judge, Boost Potential

I have experience of working in the community with children of varying complexities. I am very used to working with children in their own homes, schools and in nurseries. I am passionate about ensuring all children have equal access to education and to provide strategies to help them to reach their potential in life whatever that may be.

I am registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT). I have an enhanced DBS and professional indemnity insurance. I am a member of the RCOT Specialist Section – Children, Young People and Families. I am also a member of the Sensory Integration Network.

I pride myself on working hard to develop a lasting rapport with the families that I work with, building up trust with them and working together to enable children to reach their full potential in their everyday lives.

I have experience of working with a variety of children with differing diagnoses including:

  • Physical Disabilities eg. Cerebral Palsy

  • Developmental Delay

  • Coordination Difficulties and Poor Motor Planning and Organisation Skills eg. Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) / Dyspraxia

  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder

  • Fine and Gross Motor Difficulties

  • Sensory Processing Difficulties

  • Visual Perception Difficulties
